Role Profile

Actively work towards reducing store shrinkage and creating a safe and secure environment for customers and employees while supervising Asset Protection Officers and security personnel.

Key Responsibilities

Security Operations

• Supervise Asset Protection Officers and prepare duty schedules and patrol assignments.
• Monitor and control access to employee entrances, stockrooms, and restricted areas.
• Assign officers to patrol high-risk areas and identify theft, fraud, or security risks.
• Apprehend and detain offenders in accordance with company procedures and liaise with local authorities when required

Loss Prevention

• Reduce stock loss, shrinkage, and operational risk.
• Monitor compliance with company procedures, including tagging and stock protection controls.
• Conduct random till reconciliations and report discrepancies.
• Review daily documentation, cash declarations, stock transfers, customer returns, employee returns, and loss-related records. 

Investigations & Compliance

• Report all actual or suspected thefts and procedural breaches.
• Initiate investigations and support the Asset Protection Manager in gathering evidence and monitoring suspicious activity.
• Lead employee searches in accordance with company policy.
• Maintain accurate incident reporting and escalate trends or recurring issues.

Health & Safety

• Identify and report health and safety risks.
• Conduct Health & Safety risk assessments.
• Support the prevention and management of workplace violence and emergency incidents.

Asset & Key Control

• Control the issuing and return of store keys.
• Manage lost-property procedures.
• Ensure proper security controls are maintained across all operational areas.

Reporting & Communication

• Prepare weekly and monthly incident reports.
• Monitor security trends and escalate risks to the Asset Protection Manager.
• Increase awareness among employees and security staff through coaching and knowledge sharing.
