Role Profile:
Work within the established Alshaya Data Protection framework to assist our Corporate and Business teams in complying with all applicable data protection obligations by:

The below Key Performance Areas include but are not limited to:

  • Assists and translate in the drafting process of policies, notices, standards and guidelines.
  • Provides operative support to maintain Alshaya inventories of processing activities ("ROPA"), IT applications, third parties and products.
  • Producing data maps to illustrate the flow of personal data.
  • Collects, understands, and communicates business teams' privacy requirements to management to create informed action plans.
  • Conduct privacy reviews and consultations to support field marketing teams’ compliance with privacy policy, standards and procedures.
  •  Monitor privacy dedicated e-mails for detection and escalation of requests and complaints from data subjects, privacy incidents and personal data breaches, as well as responding to requests for advice from internal stakeholders, contractors and third parties.
  • Third party assessments. Creating and sending out assessments to business owners and third-party vendors
  • Updating and managing privacy registers.
  • Supports the development, coordination, translation and execution of training and awareness programs for data protection.
  • Becomes the system administrator for the data privacy team’s technology (e.g., OneTrust or TrustArc) when implemented, and by developing and updating electronic questionnaires.
  • Represents the first line of defense for technical OneTrust requests and supports the OneTrust - when applicable - change management process.
  • Producing reports to support the global privacy team, including cross-border transfers, vendor risks, data subject metrics, etc.

Knowledge:

  • Data protection compliance background required.

Experience:

  • Previous experience of 2 years in privacy legal or governance with cloud-based privacy management platforms such as OneTrust™ or TrustArc™
  • Experience in drafting policies, standards or guidelines.
