Undertake all activities within a department to achieve company objectives in a timely and efficient manner.

✓ Work with the Recruitment Manager, HR and Line Managers to obtain the manpower requirements
for the area of the Business for which they are responsible. Record and document this information and
store centrally on network
Complete all required administrative tasks on time to ensure the successful implementation of
manpower planning and vacancy advertising.
✓ Responsible for reviewing selection process and update as agreed, and ensure that selection tools
particularly the competency based interview is always current and relevant.
✓ Complete all required administrative tasks on time to ensure the successful implementation of
selection processes.
✓ Ensure all recruitment is completed on time for the business, for example stores are fully staffed for
new store openings.
✓ Ensure all activity is delivered within budget.
✓ Ensure all new joiners start on time and with all the necessary paperwork completed correctly.
✓ Responsible for the selection, recruitment and administration of staff for a designated area of the
business.
✓ Required to plan manpower requirements for business area working with HR Managers and Line
Managers.
✓ Required to devise and implement the best attraction strategy deciding on an appropriate mix of
local, GCC/Middle East and Overseas activity.
✓ Required to recruit against agreed profile for roles and use selection tools that relate to
competencies.
Required to manage those recruited through the joining experience to ensure they have all the necessary information and that they arrive to start work on time.
Ensure department complies with company, local market and legal, policies, procedures and
guidelines.
✓ In conjunction with Recruitment and HR Managers, decide as to the best mixture of Local, GCC /
Middle East and Overseas activity in order to achieve the recruitment targets for area of the business.
✓ Ensure all recruitment activity complies with local Labour Laws and follow the correct processes
regarding medicals and visa.
Act as ambassador for department and company at all times.
✓ Responsible for ensuring that all agencies are fully briefed on recruitment assignments and
represent Alshaya in a professional manner.
✓ Ensure that third party suppliers always follow the agreed recruitment best practice processes and
procedures.
✓ Always represent the company in a professional way.
✓ Set example to other markets recruitment teams to encourage buy in and take up of any new
initiatives.
Review and make recommendations for change in all processes regarding the specific department to
improve contribution to the business.
✓ Keep up to date with all the latest developments in recruitment.
✓ Recommend improvements in processes and procedures.
✓ Implement any changes in practice or procedure.
✓ Responsible for reviewing selection process and updating as agreed, and ensuring that selection
tools particularly the competency based interview always reflect the role profiles / job descriptions for
the roles.
Create and maintain accurate files and reports.
✓ Confirm that all required paperwork is in order so that the recruitment of staff can commence.
✓ Plan and implement Open Days, and overseas trips in a timely fashion with the recruitment target
date always in mind.
✓ Assist with recruitment advertising, Open Days, overseas trips and other activity and ensure
everything is done in line with company processes and procedures and receive the necessary sign off
/ approval.
✓ Complete all required administrative tasks on time to ensure the successful implementation of
attraction strategy.
✓ Follow agreed selection processes for the recruitment of staff in area of responsibility.
✓ Ensure that all employees are recruited against the competencies, job description, role profile and
any other specifications for the role.
✓ Produce reports on all recruitment activity including cost to hire, time to hire, and source of hire so
that success of activity can be measured.
Develop internal and external relationships to benefit business.
✓ Brief recruitment agencies, advertising suppliers and other third party suppliers thoroughly and
ensure that such suppliers follow the received brief and deliver agreed products on time and within
cost.
✓ Work with Recruitment Manager, HR and Line Managers to ensure that all staff are recruited against
the same criteria and following the same process.
✓ Ensure that the assignment briefing document is always complete for each assignment, especially
Open Days and overseas trips.
✓ Brief internal customers and ensure that they are fully aware of recruitment best practice process
and procedures and what we promise to deliver as a department
nowledge:
✓ Good general education including good practical demonstration of understanding of English
language
✓ HR / Recruitment professional qualifications would be an advantage
✓ Understanding of local Labour Laws an advantage
Experience:
✓ Two years working in a large commercial organisation in HR or Recruitment and advantage
✓ Retail operations experience or customer service experience desirable
Skills:
✓ PC literate
