Role Profile:

The Hygiene Supervisor will work closely with the Hygiene Manager to ensure all cleaning work is completed. As a Hygiene Supervisor in our food factory, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the production environment. You will be responsible for overseeing the cleaning team, ensuring compliance with sanitation protocols, and contributing to the overall safety and quality standards of the facility.

Key Performance Areas included but are not limited to:

  • Lead and manage a team of cleaning staff, providing clear guidance, support, and training as needed.
  • Schedule and organize work assignments for the cleaning team to ensure optimal coverage and efficiency.
  • Implement and enforce sanitation and hygiene procedures in accordance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with quality control and production teams to address sanitation concerns promptly.
  • Oversee the proper use, storage, and maintenance of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
  • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and place orders as needed.
  • Ensure staff is trained on the safe and effective use of cleaning tools and chemicals.
  • Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, inspections, Audits, and any corrective actions taken.
  • Communicate effectively with Line Manager regarding any issues or improvements in the cleaning process.
  • Promote a safety-first culture by identifying and addressing potential hazards and reporting near Miss report.
  • Conduct regular training sessions on sanitation protocols, safety procedures, and use of personal protective equipment.
  • Coordinates with pest control services to address any issues promptly
  • Supervise and lead a team of pest control technicians.
  • Ensure proper sorting and segregation and disposal of different types of waste without any cross contamination.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Degree / certificate in Food hygiene
  • DM FOOD CODE, HACCP, FSSC 22000
  • Computer literate in the areas of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Minimum 2 years of similar experience in food manafucturing. 

Skills:

  • Strong technical awareness and a good overview of Hygiene & Sanitation.
  • Good written and verbal communication style using English Language.
  • Evidence of budget management
  • Problem solving skills, ability to use their initiative.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible, adaptable approach to workload.
