Role Profile:
Work closely with the Group Property Director to develop and plan the group wide Retail Property strategy to support and develop the Retail Property key focus areas of Sourcing, Facilities, Construction, Innovation and Sustainability. Delivery through effective stakeholder management and maintaining a cross-functional working relationship with key internal and external stakeholders
The Key Performance Areas below include but are not limited to:
Sourcing and Development
Develop and execute the group-wide Retail Property strategic sourcing plans
Identify and develop sourcing and manufacturing strategic partners in all markets
Conduct cost analysis, value engineering and benchmarking on all key development brands to achieve optimal value
Facilities
Oversee and implement a group-wide Retail Property Facilities Management strategy including facilities management process, energy management and asset lifecycle planning
Evaluate and continuously improve ways of working in all facilities functions
Develop and monitor facilities budgets, cost control and savings measures whilst ensuring maximum efficiencies
Monitor and advise on supplier and vendor contracts
Construction
Evaluate and advise on construction governance and process
Monitor and develop milestones and timelines on key development brands
Oversee and implement construction site quality and safety protocols / controls
Innovation
Identify, develop and implement innovative strategies and solutions that improve the performance, functionality and value of the group-wide Retail Property portfolio
Work with senior leadership to prioritize innovative initiatives that provide the most value to the organization
Research and assess new technologies and digital tools that can be applied to property management processes
Sustainability
Driving sustainability initiatives across the group-wide Retail Property portfolio
Identify opportunities for energy efficiency and water conservation, aligning with corporate goals and industry best practices
Lead the process of obtaining sustainability certification
Knowledge:
Degree qualification in Engineering or similar from a reputable University preferred
Experience
Minimum 5 – 10 years technical experience in construction, architectural/design consultancy shop fitting, facilities management and/ or Engineering
