Role: Portfolio Manager - Corporate Planning

The Corporate Planning Manager will be required to support the Director of Corporate Planning in managing Alshaya's strategic initiatives entry into the approved Portfolio and the validation of their benefits post implementation.

  • Portfolio Planning - Development and maintenance of a corporate initiative roadmap and their interdependencies over a multiyear horizon. Assure effective planning across the portfolio, identifying and initiating potential gap closure aligned with medium to long term corporate objectives.
  • Portfolio Prioritisation – Collaborate with Portfolio Management and Senior Leadership in the development of a portfolio planning model that facilitates portfolio prioritisation multi-scenario planning to accommodate evolving corporate priorities and ensuring the portfolio is continuously optimised.
  • Business Case Development - Manage/steer the individual investment proposals creation to completion process ensuring appropriate and continuous appraisal and alignment throughout to address the problems and opportunities as prioritised by the Leadership Team(s), including Change Requests.
  • Investment Committee - Co-ordinate the Investment Committee presentation materials; Support in all the preparations of the Corporate Investment Committee and driving the arising actions in timely manner.
  • Benefits Realisation - Manage and validate the benefit realisation of planned projects through the evaluation of business cases to ensure the outcomes are well defined, clear and traceable post implementation.
  • Line Management, Goal Setting and Performance Management of subordinates

 

The below Key Performance Areas include but are not limited to:

Collaborate with key stakeholders across Leadership, Divisional, IT and Finance, departmental Heads, Managers and other colleagues to ensure data accuracy and balancing of the Portfolio in support of corporate strategy.

Oversee and manage individual business case development including definition of relevant KPIs and the monitoring of benefits post project implementation.

Be a subject matter expert in guiding the development of investment proposals ensuring their completeness ahead of Investment Committees.

Provide subject matter expertise on selected topics (e.g. strategy, project management, finance) as well as key issues and incidents

Proactively identify risks in collaboration with stakeholders throughout the business case development phase to ensure risks of the resultant projects are identified and treated appropriately.
