Role Profile:

Able to assist the technicians on site to ensure the effective operation of all mechanical and electrical plant within the area of operation. Capable of working as part of a team and taking Instruction from the Technician. 

Responsible for maintaining Food Safety and Food Quality Policy. 

Maintain and adhere to FSSC standard requirements. 

The below Key Performance Areas include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting the Maintenance Technician in the execution of his works 

  • Knowledge of equipment and processes required in engineering workplace 

  • General housekeeping and cleaning duties related to engineering practices 

  • Carry out minor maintenance tasks under supervision of Technician 

  • Capability to complete work reports

Knowledge:

  • Health and Safety 

  • Mechanical and / or Electrical systems 

  • Record keeping 

  • Basic food hygiene and safety

Experience:

  • 2-3 years’ experience of food processing plant and equipment maintenance. 

  • Worked as part of a team. 

  • Record and reporting.

Skills:

  • M&E training and hold a recognised technical qualification or trade experience 

  • Understanding of MEP equipment 

  • H&S

Qualification:

  • 2-3 years’ experience or an equivalent degree 

Language Requirements:

  • Basic Understanding of English, reading and writing. 

Additional role requirements: 

  • Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times.  

  • Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received 

  • The position requires weekend and night shift working. The working pattern may include both Friday and Saturday and public holidays as normal working days. 

  • The role will require site attendance outside of offices hours in the event of an emergency
