Role Profile:

 

Last-Mile Logistics Oversight:

Manage and optimize all last-mile logistics activities, from regional warehouses to individual stores.

Ensure consistent and effective application of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all delivery and logistics processes.

Supply and Purchase Order (PO) Management:

Continuously implement and manage inventory control systems by leveraging demand forecasts to optimize stock levels. Coordinating with SC Analyst.

Directly manage the creation of Purchase Orders (POs) and conduct follow-ups with suppliers.

Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely and seamless delivery of goods to the warehouse including creating ASN’s.

Logistics Point of Contact (POC):

Serve as the primary point of contact for all logistics disciplines within the division, including shipping, compliance, and general logistics inquiries.

Act as a link between the Supply Manager and other departments to resolve logistics-related issues efficiently.

Logistics Cost Analysis and Reporting:

Collect, analyze, and report on all supply chain logistics costs for the designated region.

Generate and present monthly performance insights and cost-saving opportunities to management.

Support the aggregation of logistics costs for all operating countries within the division, providing detailed reports as required.

Invoice Processing and Payments:

Oversee all invoice-related activities for the assigned market/region.

Ensure that invoice processing and payments are completed accurately and on time, in full compliance with Company’s financial requirements.

Inventory Management and Expiry Control:

Monitor expiry reports, including a FEFO (First Expiry, First Out). system and regular checks.

Prepare reports on inventory turnover, damaged items, and expired (write-off) stock, obtain              necessary approvals according to LOE, and implement the destruction policy as required.

Reconcile making sure the write of transaction file is updated correctly in Gold.

SOS, Technology and System Implementation:

Manage the SOS platform for the assigned region, ensuring service level agreements are met. Ensure brand support requests are promptly resolved

Proactively utilize available platforms and systems as resources for information gathering, report generation, and progress tracking, among other tasks.  .

Regulatory Compliance Management:

Proactively monitor and manage the compliance of all inventory items with current market regulations.

Create and distribute actionable updates on changes in regulations to relevant stakeholders to ensure continuous adherence.

 

The below Key Performance Areas include but are not limited to:

 

Costs

Collaborate with central supply chain teams to identify and suggest enhancements on costing factors, freight types and new routes to optimize Cost of Goods imported into or within GCC markets.

Timely review of the logistics cost dashboard reports and highlight cost related inefficiencies to central teams, brands while proposing possible solutions to offset some costs.

Regular review of the logistics costs to ensure they are always optimized and kept at minimal for ageing stock, stock write off, stock on hold, demurrage etc…

Liaise with Group freight teams on various freight routes and costs, to explore more efficient and cost-effective routes to markets.

Support the selection, appointment and implementation of distribution partners through effective 3PL tender management.

Support the Cost to Serve reporting and publish for senior management teams.

Support the Cost to Serve model and reporting, design and implement more cost insight visibility

Action the brand cost split model for costing variance and Logistics costs.

Collaborate with Finance and Brand teams (upon need) on Key Financial Ratios KFR related to Logistics and cost of goods.

 

 

Service

Support and follow up on complete product compliance and registration requests in all markets through the regional supply chain and shipping/service providers

Support the communication to regional teams on new or updated supply chain processes that controls the last mile to stores in markets.

Communicates with main international consolidators and ensure supply expectations are met and improvement solutions are provided.

Quarterly reviews are supported across both Shipping & Logistic activities to identify opportunities for improvement and recognise where activities are working well.

Invoices are processed as per the current company’s financial activities and regular updates on performance are shared.

 

 

People

Performance reviews are completed and recorded as per the Company’s/Division. requirements

Training and support is completed as and where required.

 

 

 

Knowledge and Qualifications:

Educated to High School graduate level

MS Office knowledge is desired

Has an understanding of food supply chain, QA and complex food distribution channels and value chain mapping

Experience in Food distribution and 3rd party logistics is an advantage

Knowledge of market compliance requirements is an advantage

Experience:

Upto 2 years supply chain experience in a food industry with distribution networks

Worked in a multinational with MENA experience preferred

Knowledge of MENA region import regulations, compliance and GSO standards.

Multi-brand, multi-market, multi-channel management experience

Good written and spoken communication skills

 

Skills:

Ability to think logically and take decisions based on situational assessments.

Proactive approach and impeccable attention to detail

Managing & prioritizing a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment

Problem solving skills with an intention to simplify complex supply chain challenges

A thorough team player capable of managing and supporting regional projects
