Role Profile:

Test Automation Manager with expertise in TOSCA and Selenium to lead automation initiatives, define test strategies, and ensure high-quality software delivery. This role requires a strong technical foundation in automation frameworks, hands-on expertise in TOSCA and Selenium, and leadership capabilities to manage teams and drive test architecture decisions. 

Key Responsibilities: 

 Test Automation Strategy & Execution: 

  • Define and implement test automation strategies, frameworks, and best practices. 

  • Oversee automation test planning, execution, and maintenance across multiple projects. 

  • Identify opportunities to optimize test coverage and enhance automation effectiveness. 

  • Ensure seamless integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. 
     

Test Architect Responsibilities: 

  • Design and develop scalable, reusable, and maintainable test automation frameworks. 

  • Evaluate and recommend automation tools, frameworks, and best practices. 

  • Ensure alignment of test automation strategies with overall software architecture. 

  • Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to enable shift-left testing and continuous testing. 

 

Technical Leadership & Hands-On Expertise: 

  • Lead the design and implementation of automation solutions using TOSCA and Selenium. 

  • Develop, review, and maintain high-quality test scripts ensuring robustness and efficiency. 

  • Troubleshoot complex automation challenges and ensure stable test execution. 

  • Establish best practices for API automation, database testing, and non-functional testing. 

 
Team Management & Collaboration: 

  • Manage a team of automation engineers, providing mentorship, technical guidance, and career development. 

  • Collaborate with developers, testers, business analysts, and DevOps teams to enhance test effectiveness. 

  • Drive innovation in automation through research and proof-of-concept implementations. 

 
 Reporting & Stakeholder Communication: 

  • Define and track key automation metrics (test coverage, defect trends, execution time, etc.). 

  • Generate reports and dashboards to provide visibility into automation effectiveness. 

  • Communicate test automation progress, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders. 

  • Required Skills & Experience: 

 
 Technical Skills: 

  • 9-12 years of experience in software testing, automation, and test architecture. 

  • Strong expertise in TOSCA (Tricentis) and Selenium WebDriver. 

  • Hands-on experience in designing and implementing test automation frameworks. 

  • Proficiency in Java/Python/C# for automation scripting. 

  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab, etc.). 

  • Expertise in API testing and automation (Postman, REST Assured, SOAP UI). 

  • Experience in cloud-based test automation (AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus. 

  • Strong understanding of test management tools like JIRA, ALM, or TestRail. 

  • Experience in performance testing (JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus. 

 
 Leadership & Soft Skills: 

  • Experience in leading and mentoring automation teams. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 

  • Ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments. 

  • Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Tricentis TOSCA Certification (Automation Specialist 1 & 2 preferred). 

  • ISTQB Certification (Advanced Level  Test Automation Engineer preferred). 

  • Experience in performance engineering and security testing is a plus
