Role Profile:

Ensures planning, managing, and implementing Financial, Taxation, Accounting & supports key IT Projects to drive the Financial Accounting and Compliance processes in Middle East Countries to achieve strategic goals of the business.

Ensures that International accounting standards are followed and provide financial guidance and support through an in depth understanding of business fundamentals, competitive landscape, and implications on current strategy.

Key Performance Areas:

• Ensures books of accounts are maintained and supports regular reporting as per Alshaya Calendar as well as Statutory Requirement.
• Create, Review & Controls master data management in Oracle relevant to carry out day to day accounting for various entities.
• Maintains and suggest improvements in financial systems and workflow by ensuring that the businesses processes are in line with best practice and accounting standards.
• Analyzing existing accounting procedures/ systems and restructuring them to attain optimum efficiency levels.
• Provides training and impart regular guidance to team for various processes impacting KFR, Statutory Accounting & Compliances.
• Responsible for accounting & reporting of various investments into Joint Ventures, Business Acquisitions & strategic funds.
• Work in conjunction with Tax Consultants so that all accounting transactions are complying to Corporate Tax, Zakat, and other statutory requirements, including VAT, GST, Excise Tax, WHT, Corporate Tax and Thin Capital.
• Ensures that all monthly compliances with respect to Tax Returns, Tax Payments and statutory update to management is provided with due date.
• Facilitate Tax Inspections carried by various tax authorities and ensuring desired Documents, Reports, Explanations are provided well with desired time.
• Represents Finance Team for various IT Projects such as Phoenix / Non-Phoenix to ensure project roll out is seamless meeting all Finance Requirements post successful completion of project.
• Provide inputs, guidance, leading User Acceptance Test, and co-ordinates with various IT Project Management team to ensure that Finance & Accounting Framework is maintained or enhanced.
• Ensures that Inventory Accounting processes are accurate and interacts regularly with Brand team as well as IT Team for improvements.
• Work with External Auditors for the year-end closing by ensuring the requested information is based on Audit Standards set by the company.
• Supports Internal Audits involving review of accounting and administrative controls and implement changes advised by Internal Audit team for better controls.
• Regular support to cross-functional teams to meet their various Reporting & Compliance Requirements.
• Maintain Close C-ordination with Group to provide financial information and resolve queries to support Group’s Consolidation Requirement
• Undertakes review of business performance, monthly financials, and various Management Reports as and when required
• Support Treasury, Business Team, and Planning team for Working Capital Management.
• Closely work with Business team to resolve pending queries and provide solutions to resolve them.

Education : Bachelor of Commerce / Accounting + CA or ACCA or CPA

Age : 35 to 45
